Rhodes, Greece (TUI Magic Life)
My last vacation for the summer was dedicated to Rhodes, Greece. It was my first time in an all-inclusive hotel. I flew to the Greek island in the middle of July and spent around 10 days there.
What the hotel offers
If you are planning on traveling to a TUI Magic Life Hotel, I recommend downloading the TUI app before your visit. Through the app you are able to see all the entertainment and sports programs that the hotel offers. Also, 24h before a course starts, you can reserve a seat at the course to make sure you do not miss out. Additionally, you can also see the food options of the hotel, or find a map that shows you where anything is located. Since the TUI hotels have a pretty big campus size, it is helpful to take a look at the map, to be also aware of what you can do during your stay.
The hotel in Rhodes that I was visiting included a private beach, two pools, a small aqua park, a gym, multiple dining options, and facilities for different sports.
Sport facilities
Sports that you are able to play at this Tui Magic Life Hotel are Tennis (6 courts), Soccer (1 field), Beachvolleyball (3 fields), Boccia (1 field), and archery (6 lines). Each sport features practices or certain events multiple times a day. For example you can take tennis classes for beginners and advanced players, or join the family soccer event.
Additionally the hotel offers various sport courses from Aqua and indoor cycling, to trampoline jumping, to hiit-workouts. So, if there hotel does not offer the sport you usually do in your free time, there are still no excuses for not being active. You can also join mountain bike tours or do a course to have a ceiling license etc. Keep in mind, that the water sport activities are not included and you must pay them extra. I drove jetski once, and went tubing on another day, too, and I recommend trying those things out.
Food
Since I was staying in the Tui Magic Life Hotel we were able to get food all day for free. The main restaurant opened three times a day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The restaurant has a buffet style and you can chose what you want to have on your plate. The breakfast buffet mostly stays the same each day, but especially the dinner menu changes. Also, since this restaurant is located in Rhodes, Greece, the food options feature mostly Greek food.
Besides the main restaurant, there are also three more restaurants that you are allowed to visit once for free during your stay. I visited all three restaurants and can say that they all are very different, so it’s worth trying out all of them. It is also a nice opportunity to sit with your family and friends at the table without anyone getting up and leaving to get more food. But, be aware that it is hard to get a free table at the restaurant and you must reserve, too. I recommend reseving a table for each restaurant the first day you arrive at the reception.
Specialty Restaurants
The Flavor
This restaurant offers a meals from different cultures. A Spanish dish, a Greek dish, a dish from Egypt and so on. If your company and you prefer different cultures for food, this restaurant will be perfect for you.
Downtown
If you enjoy burgers and street food this restaurant will be the one you should go to. You will get at this restaurant nachos, wraps, fish and chips, and so much more. There are also multiple options for vegetarian and vegan people.
Taverna
I believe that when I am in a certain country, I also must try their food. Taverna was the perfect restaurant for me to complete my Greek experience. This Greek restaurant shows you the main dishes of their culture, and it was delicious, too.
If you are hungry but the main restaurant is closed you still do not have to worry. You can then always get a sandwich or some fresh fruit at the Wunderbar that is always open during the closing times of the main restaurant. Also, you can visit the coffee house all day, where you can get fresh cake, donuts, milkshakes, and coffee.

Conclusion
This vacation in Rhodes was very different than the once I had before, because it was more about activities than sightseeing. I recommend this type of vacation if you have a family with children, since the children will be able to join programs and you get some time for yourself.
